We love people. We look to see people as souls as Jesus did. We are a diverse congregation that come from all walks of life. Everyone has "junk." We are here to equip, edify, evangelize, and help people see the excellence in Jesus Christ.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
- John 16:33 |
Our members are spread out all over the greater Birmingham area. One of the things that makes us "us" is our community groups. We have groups that meet in many different areas all over the city at various times. Our community groups provide opportunities for believers to learn from each other as they apply the gospel within the intimacy of relationships (Titus 2:1–8). By discussing and applying Scripture together, members can learn to understand not only the Bible, but also each other, so that each will know better how to love the other. In the New Testament believers prayed together “with one accord” (Acts 4:24). Believers pray in private and in their family networks. In corporate worship, they pray heartily while the minister voices the words for the community. But in small groups, children and parents, neighbors and friends, elders and new converts help each other come to the throne of grace, articulating their praise and petitions in personalized words and accents. In such settings, we can learn to pray even as we appreciate the universal fatherhood of God among believers. Small groups can help us develop a greater sense of Christian community in a disconnected age. They can facilitate the formation of deeper Christian friendships, encourage greater spiritual accountability among church members, and become a natural opportunity for inviting unbelieving and unchurched (or under-churched) neighbors to interact with a covenant community.
Small groups should never supplant the church. But they can provide a setting where the church begins to experience the kind of closeness that will characterize the life of the redeemed in the age to come. |

OUTINGSWe have many random activities throughout the year. From adventures all over town to game nights, we attempt to have many activities for our youth to surround theirselves with positive Christian environments.
|
AREA WIDE GATHERINGSWe are part of the Bham Area Wide group. Our teenagers meet with several other area youth groups once a month and worship God together. This is a great way for our teens to meet other teens that share the same beliefs. In addition to devotionals, the teens have a retreat once a year and also work together on several service projects for the community.
